ARA Recognition

In the ARA's December 2007 issue of their Rental Management Magazine, Rebel is cited for its aggressive show of support to the changes made by the California Air Resources Board, a.k.a. CARB, to its policies some time this year. Of course, the ARA was a key factor in translating the legal language to one we can actually understand when they conducted the workshop in San Diego. Doug Fleury attended that workshop and took to heart the implementation of the changes to Rebel Rents, putting all the information in a book, sharing its contents with ARA's Vice President of Government Affairs, John McClelland.

When it comes to complying with written laws, Rebel doesn't miss a beat.

Santa Rewards Hardwork at Rebel

As Christmas gets closer, we are seeing more and more of our hardworking Territory Managers cashing in on their Reward Zone Points. And why not? It's a perfectly good way to start knocking off those items from their shopping list. It is, afterall, well-deserved and well-earned by all of them.

Greg Eubanks, from our El Cajon store, redeemed his points for 2 cameras to give as presents to his kids. The Sony Cyber-Shot T70 Digital Still Camera is full of great features including 8.1 mega pixels, 3.0" wide screen touch panel LCD, and a lot of other good stuff. His kids will sure enjoy these new toys! They'll be snapping pictures left and right, catching everything; absolutely perfect for the festivities of the season.

Robert Malsack, Territory Manager from Escondido, opted for the hip Apple products; the iPod Shuffle and iPod Nano 4GB. He will also be giving these as presents to his children for Christmas. He is excited to have all his children rocking out during the holidays, enjoying their favorite music on their very own iPods.
Rebel takes pride in being able to take some part in the gift giving season with our team members' celebrations. Enjoy your new toys! Rebel's Santa says you've been good this year!

Thank you for all your hardwork! HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!

The Big Picture

It's Christmas and the time for giving. Rebel's Territory Managers are cashing in their Reward Zone Points for nifty gadgets they can either enjoy themselves, or give away to their loved ones. The first one in line is Tom Gilroy from our San Jacinto branch. He worked so hard for so long and refrained for a long time to earn his prize of a 42" plasma tv. This Christmas, he finally got it! He received a 42" Akai 720p HDTV, with built-in tuner, HDMI/DVI inputs, 10000:1 contract ratio, and it's pc compatible.

Tom, who's an avid fan of the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association), can't wait to enjoy his favorite shows like his races and Discovery Channel programs on his new toy. We are happy to oblige you, Tom. You deserve it!

Congratulations! Pop the popcorn, sit back, relax and let your new tv bring your shows to life.

2007 Inventory Wrap-Up

This year's annual inventory is finally done!! All in all, this year's inventory has been the best ever. Our team players really stepped up to the plate. Each yearly inventory requires team effort, with members of our corporate staff showing support to the stores by coming out on a Saturday to help get this highly important task completed. This year was no different, except this year was very cold and wet.

As in past years, one or two stores always outdo the rest. This year, Scott Miller and his Mira Loma Team, along with George McNulty and his Encinitas Team were the best of the best. Congratulations to their teams for their hardwork and excellent job! We are all very proud of you.
It is also worth mentioning that the difficult task of planning, organizing, as well as completing the inventory after everyone is finished counting lies primarily on our very own, Brett Guigneaux. He is the driving force behind this yearly event, and he does it so very well. He also takes part in the actual counting, doing two stores between Friday and Saturday.

We'd also like to thank the members of the coporate staff who helped out this year: Jill Widtfeldt, Cheryl Peck, Susie Slavey, Mayette Geller, and Doug Fleury, who was also out two days counting equipment. Everyone were such troupers.

Thank you all very much for your support and your hardwork. See You All Next Year!!!

No Risk at Rebel

Rebel recently received an audit visit from St. Paul Travelers, our commercial insurance carrier. In preparation for his arrival, Doug Fleury, our Risk Manager, put together a presentation binder consisting of all Safety Meeting topics, programs put in place to help promote safety, training materials, and other documentations that proves Rebel Rents is diligent in protecting company assets and limiting liability exposures. Further, he was given a tour of the facility and a chance to observe us in action. Tony Kuehn, Senior Risk Control Consultant for Travelers, was pleased with the preparedness.

The visit went very well. This translates to Rebel complying with all the insurance carrier's standards and there were no recommendations made. Rebel takes pride in promoting safe and sound business practices throughout the company.

A job well done by the REBEL TEAM!
