Good Driving Is Worth a Compliment

One of our drivers prove, once again, that good driving skills don't go unnoticed. Mike White, a veteran Service Technician from our North Temecula location received a compliment from another motorist. The caller said that prior to seeing Mike, the caller had a close call with another driver driving a similar vehicle. The caller was upset with the experience. She came to notice Mike driving the same direction and was delighted to see that there are still courteous drivers on the road these days, especially among those who drive bigger trucks.

Mike, you restored some faith back to at least one motorist out there. Great job!

El Cajon Reinvents Itself REBEL STYLE

Our El Cajon location is near the end of an extensive renovation. Mike Brown, the location Team Leader is heading up this project along with maintaining the daily functions of running the business. Undergoing renovation will bring this store to Rebel standards and the image we’d like to project.

The actual planning started last year, along with a list of improvements required including removing a pre-existing building that has become obsolete. In doing so, it allowed us to expand our storage capacity to help us with our ever growing rental fleet. The main building was also expanded, gaining an additional 2,000 sq ft. A temporary trailer was placed on site during this extensive renovation to house the daily operations of the business.

The renovated building boasts a new showroom with fixtures and cube displays. The front counter is customized to incorporate a spacious, functional work station including a handicap-accessible counter, and ample storage to keep supplies and paperwork organized and out of customers’ view. The interior emanates the familiar feel of our other stores, with Rebel’s standard décor of banners, signage, and more.

According to Mike Brown, the customers’ reactions have been very positive, and think that it looks fabulous. We agree.

The exterior of the store got a new facade as well, flaunting the Rebel signature red canopy with Rebel logo, and a new signage. New concrete pads have been laid out just outside the fence area to better compliment the equipment on display.

This is still a work in progress, but we are getting closer than ever in getting this project to completion. The last major improvement will be the resurfacing of the old asphalt with new concrete.

We thank the El Cajon Team Members for their assistance and fortitude working in very confined areas during the renovation. We are certain they are proud of their new store.

Thanks for the Rebel Support Staff for going above and beyond.

Attachment: When is Rental the Lower Cost Solution?

The most recent issue of Equipment Today (June 2007) contains quotes from Rebel's Doug Fleury on one of their main topics: Advantages of Attachment Rental. Other companies like RSC, Sunbelt and Caterpillar participated in this article, as well, which discusses at length why many contractors opts to rent rather than buy equipment attachments.

Being able to share knowledge alongside these major companies acknowledges our strong presence in the rental industry. It is always an honor to be able to contribute valuable insight to an industry that we all have a passion for.

Mira Loma Celebrates Rebel Customers!!

On June 22nd, the Mira Loma Rebel Rents held its first ever Customer Appreciation Day event. All the local team members were extremely excited about the event, which was contagious to the rest of the supporting staff who commuted from Rebel's Corporate offices in Temecula to assist for the day. The event was held from 11am to 2pm.

The vendors started coming in as early as 9am to begin setting up their booths. There were a good number of vendors who showed up to participate, which really boosted the success of the event. Among the participating vendors were Multiquip, Bosch Tools, Hammerco, Ditch Witch, Kaeser, Bil-Jax, Komatsu, Inland Bobcat, and KC Graphics, to name a few. Many brought giveaways or donated items for the raffles, which Rebel wants to thank them for.

Rebel Rents raffled off a tv, a boombox, and a dvd player, in addition to the prizes donated by our generous vendors. There were also the normal giveaways of gloves for the first hundred guests, our newly designed shirts and notepads. KC Graphics had mousepads available, as well.

Customers began to pour in even before the 11 o'clock mark. Everyone was just enthused about this long awaited event. Scott and his team eagerly mingled with the attending customers and participating vendors alike.

The day was gorgeous; fans and canopies spread throughout providing relief from the blaring California sun. Food prepared on-site emitted inviting aromas teasing the tastebuds, and later delivering the promise of excellent food.

As usual, Rebel Rents delivered over and beyond what's expected, wowing the customers with hospitality and generosity. We thank our customers for their business and for the opportunity to show them our appreciation.
