Keeping Rebel Informed

The Human Resources Department is introducing a quarterly newsletter to all of Rebel. It is aptly named 'DIGGER TALK.' Its purpose is to keep all Rebel team members abreast on all the happenings here at Rebel's Human Resource Department.

Watch for the first issue inside your next paycheck. It should be fun and informative.

Way to go, HR!

Capturing Life on Tape...err, Hard Drive

There is nothing better than to capture life's events on tape. That is just what Peggy Megrdichian will be doing. Peggy is one of the hard working Territory Managers for our Santa Ana branch. Because of her hard work, she is able to take advantage of the Rebel Rents Rewards Zone Program again.

Peggy is receiving the JVC Everio G Hard Disk camcorder. This product is so innovative; it doesn't use tape or disc. With over 37 hours of recording, all the memory is recorded onto a hard disk that can be easily transferred onto her personal computer, or burned onto a DVD. It comes with a 30GB hard disk drive, 34x optical hyper zoom, SD Card slot, 16:9 clear LCD monitor, and a USB 2.0 Hi- Speed.

Congratulations, Peggy, on everything good happening to you. You deserve every bit of it!

Blitz Success

Rebel Rents' Territory Managers were all out on the prowl again, preparing and creating buzz for the Mira Loma Customer Appreciation Day. In the two weeks of the Blitz, they visited over 200 local businesses, introducing our company and inviting them to the event.

As is our tradition, we acknowledge all of the Territory Managers who participated by rewarding them Rewards Zone Points. We also give special acknowledgment to the Territory Managers who did more than just visit, but actually got more leads, or got rentals during their visits. Robert Malsack from our Escondido Branch, Joe Negrette from our Santee Branch and Greg Eubanks from our El Cajon Branch all managed to do that. We thank you all for a job well done.

A special THANKS also goes out to Scott Miller, Team Leader of Mira Loma, Rick Knepper, Mira Loma's Territory Manager and all of Mira Loma's team members. They all worked hard at helping get the word out to their local customers. Their enthusiasm was contagious!

Everyone did a great job; we're expecting a great turn out for this event.

Contributing To A Good Cause

A fundraiser to benefit the riders at the Glamis Dunes was held on June 9th headed by the Kris "Chili Dog" Frick Foundation. Their mission is to increase dune rider safety awareness and to raise money to enhance medical services in Glamis Dunes. Rebel Rents is proud to be a participant in this endeavor. Rebel donated to the event's silent auction, and will continue to support their cause by continuing to make donations to the foundation.

Scott Miller of Mira Loma attended the event and represented Rebel Rents.

We hope to help make a difference and become a contributing factor in the realization of the foundation's goals. It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of the event.

For more information on the foundation, please visit their website at http://www.krisfrick.com/.

Flawless Inspection

Our Mira Loma Branch recently got an unexpected visit from a Fuel Compliance Officer conducting inspections for the IRS. The inspection focused on all on-the-road vehicles and equipment, making sure they are all free of Red Dye Diesel (off-road fuel). It should come as no surprise when Mira Loma was found in complete compliance, having no vehicles showing any trace of Red Dye Diesel present!

Rebel Rents works hard at meeting standards, rules and regulations enforced by various organizations to ensure personal and environmental safety. Our success, therefore, is greatly attributed to the cooperation of our individual Team Leaders and their team members. Scott Miller and his Mira Loma team's recent experience proves keeping on your toes pays off.

Great job, Mira Loma. The rest of us will follow suit.

Action Was Sprung in May

And we have a winner!!!

When the contest was announced in early May, all of the branches were eager to meet the challenge head on. They all worked diligently, focusing on the task at hand. All the branches did a great job. The most triumphant on surpassing the goal of the contest, however, is the Santa Ana branch!

We congratulate Chris Dalsimer and his team for a job well done. In recognition of their superb team effort, they will receive a plaque honoring their success. In addition, each member of the Santa Ana team will receive individual prizes of their choosing.

We would also like to recognize the Santee team for coming in second, and the Encinitas team for placing third. This contest was a very challenging one, and to achieve what your teams did is no mean feat.

Congratulations to all of you! Rebel is truly proud to have all of you in its team!

Latest Inductees to the Transportation Hall of Fame

Congratulations on the latest Transportation Specialists (Class A & B) who have reached the goal of three years of being accident free! They are: Jeffrey Mahan, Kenneth Huggard, and Mark Harvey. Each of them are being recognized with plaques commemorating their achievement, and their names to be inducted on to the wall of achievements in the Corporate office.
We tip our hats off to you, gentlemen. With so many vehicles out on the road, and a slew of unpredictable drivers, you have managed to stay ahead of the game and stayed free of any accidents. That is no mean feat. You deserve to be congratulated.
Keep up the excellent work, and continue to keep your eyes on the road.
