Rebel Takes No Risks!
Rebel recently received a visit from its insurance carrier. The objective of the visit was to identify ways to prevent losses and minimize the impact to the business in the event of loss. The Consultant spent time asking questions, observing operations and facility related to Automobile Liability, Products Liability and Property. The good news is, after reviewing Rebel's risk management program, the Risk Control Consultant came up with only one minor suggestion/recommendation as he was quite impressed with our training and implementation system. This is a feat.
Congratulations, Rebel, for getting a better than good rating. Keep up the excellent work!
Rebel's Got Driving Skills
Jerry Magstadt of Rebel San Jacinto received a compliment from one motorist yesterday. It is one of those few moments where the How Am I Driving call is really pleasant and exciting. While we always appreciate the time motorists take to dial that 800 number to let us know how our Transportation Specialists are doing out there, it is these positive observations that we appreciate most. They come few and far between; but we know we have good team of drivers out there.
Harry Coffman, San Jacinto's Store Manager, will present Jerry with a Gold Star for receiving such a compliment. Jerry is a Class A driver and drives a big rig, which could be very challenging to drive; yet, he manages to get a compliment while driving one.
Simply fantastic, Jerry! Thank you, and keep up the good work.

Rebel-ation in Construction Today
For a smaller, independent equipment rental company, Rebel has come a long way in ranking against its bigger competitors, in terms of articles written about our company, not to mention ranking 63rd on the RER's top 100 rental companies in the nation in 2005.
We've been included in many construction magazines, including taking part in major ARA articles in the past. The most recent one is an article in the Construction Today magazine, May 2007 issue. The article consists of an interview with Rebel's Marketing and Risk Manager, Doug Fleury, who shared his wealth of knowledge and experience about the rental industry and what makes Rebel thrive in spite of the fierce competition. It was a well written piece that truly relates the core of Rebel.
Great job representing the Rebel ways, Doug. Let's do it again next time!

A Rebel Stork Is On Its Way

Peggy Megridichian, one of Santa Ana's Territory Sales Managers, was thrown a baby shower by the corporate support staff on Tuesday, May 8th at the Hungry Hunter Steakhouse in Temecula. Peggy is more than a little excited, for good reasons; this is her first baby and she's having a boy! Those who attended were: George McNulty from Encinitas, Jose Chavez from Escondido, Chris Dalsimer from Santa Ana, and corporate staff members: George Aguilar, Janine Olson (No. Temecula), Debbie Sanchez, Pam Jeffers, Sue Hope, Susie Slavey, Jill Widtfelt, Judy Dennis, Linda Benson, Sylvia Hoskins, Cheryl Peck, Mayette Geller, Brett Guigneaux, and Doug Fleury.
Peggy received a bunch of great gifts for her new arrival and she seems sincerely appreciative of them.
Congratulations, Peggy and Matt!

Springing Into Action in May
The challenge is on! Rebel has just announced a new contest for each location. The prize is a mini-dvd for each individual working at the winning location. It's really easy! All they have to do is beat their numbers from May of 2006. The contest runs during the month of May only and finishes on May 31st.
Get your thinking caps on because time is ticking away! Good Luck and Have Fun!
A Token of Appreciation
Recently, one of the biggest projects Rebel was involved with was completed. The project was the expansion of the 22 freeway in Orance County and was managed by Granite Myers Rados (GMR). Their Rebel contact was Tony Cunningham out of our Santa Ana branch. Tony gave this project a whole lot of personal attention and dedication. As a token of their appreciation, GMR presented Tony with a framed picture of the project with a beautiful sunset backdrop, complete with huge looming equipment. They dedicated it to Tony, inscribed by Mike Martinez, GMR's Project Manager.
It feels great to be appreciated, even greater knowing it's well-earned. Great job, Tony!

Rebel In Action at the Laguna Playhouse

Rebel and Peggy Mergdichian want to thank the Laguna Playhouse for their continued support for the last three years. That's right! We have been involved with the Laguna Playhouse in building their sets for some really great plays. The latest set Rebel is happy to assist with is Anne of Green Gables. This is a heartwarming children's play about an orphan girl named Anne who finds a new life filled of laughter, love and happiness, all the while finding herself facing many adventures about growing up.
The play is showing May 11th-20th, 2007. For more information on upcoming events and plays, visit their website at

Rewarding Upgrade
It is truly exciting to see how well-received Rebel's Reward Zone Program is. Our Territory Managers show real enthusiasm about earning the points so they can redeem the cool prizes offered through this program. The latest one to cash in some of his hard-earned points is Joe Negrette from Santee. He opted for a 27" TV, which is an upgrade from the 19" he currently has. It is good to taste the fruits of your labor.
Congratulations, Joe! Enjoy your new TV.
