Rebel Put on a Good Show
Rebel finished its final run of the Show & Go/Talk & Go See Promotion last Wednesday, January 24th. The promotion was initiated to create awareness within the local communities of two new products Rebel just recently added to its fleet; the Kaeser M57 Compressors and the New Holland U80 Multi-Purpose Loaders. It required the Territory Managers for each locations to bring one of the compressors to the customers they visit, and allow them to personally explore the unit without the obligation of renting or even making the trip to the store. Brochures were handed out on the New Holland units to promote them, along with an invitation to come by the stores to see them.
Thanks to our dedicated Territory Managers, this promotion was a success. Between all of them, a total of 367 customers were visited during the three days. New accounts were opened during this venture, and we got some actual rentals of the compressor. It was all a positive experience; and that's only the beginning. We can be certain that the awareness created by this promotion will bring in more future positive results.
In doing this promotion, not only did we gain access to our customers, we also conveyed the message that Rebel's Customer Service' top priority is their convenience and satisfaction.
Of course, with the promotion came the contest of who among our Territory Managers will conduct the most customer visits. While it was a really close race, Bill Walsh of Escondido with a total of 50 visits, covets the prize of a family 4-pack ticket to a Padres game, and a plaque recognizing his great effort.
That's not all of it. All of our Territory Managers gets a Rebel Rental Team jacket for their participation as a thank you. They will also receive 15 Rebel Rewards Zone points for each rental that results from this promotion, which ends January 31st.
Congratulations, Bill Walsh! And thank you to everyone!

Throwing Out the First Pitch in 2007

Can you believe it? 2006 is done & gone. The New Year has started, and as Rebel Rents’ tradition of previous years, we have adopted a new theme to go forward with in 2007. This year, we chose the all-time American favorite pastime – BASEBALL. Our slogan this year is: “HIT A HOME RUN ON EVERY RENTAL IN 2007”.
The rollout was last Friday, attended by Team Leaders (Coaches) from the different locations. During the rollout, each team received framed artwork with their team name and team mascot picture, and another with GRAND SLAM, enumerating the goals and expectations Rebel Teams will be focusing on in the year 2007. They also received a batting helmet with their location number and team name, and a baseball signed by all of the Office Support Team. All Office Support Department Team Leaders were also there to review their goals for next year.
Of course, we cannot move forward without looking back at all the accomplishments made in the past year. Plaques were given out to Encinitas, No. Temecula, Santee, and El Cajon for being vehicle accident-free for 2006. Santee gets the honors two years in a row. In the business we’re in, that is a feat that is worth mentioning. Last year was our best ever, and we have all our Team Leaders to thank; for being such effective coaches to the rest of the team members. Your team is a direct reflection of your skills to lead them to a GRAND SLAM!
This Team Rally brought everyone together. We look forward to Rebel winning the World Series. With a plan and an all-star line-up, we can’t lose!
Let’ Play Ball!
Up to New Challenges
Rebel Rents recently launched a contest for the Assistant Managers and Customer Service Representatives of each store. The challenge will be to see which location have the most innovative team that could most increase the open accounts for their store . It runs from January 10th through February 15th. Planning and execution is vital to the success of the winning team. It will be interesting to see who finishes first, as all the teams are hardworking and dedicated.
We'll see you at the home plate!
Valued Customer Gets Training From Rebel

Rebel Rents hosted a training session for Environmental Concepts on Friday, January 12th. Dale Hardin, Project Manager for Environmental Concepts, requested us to provide them the training to benefit their employees. The training covered safety and operations of the Ditch Witch RT40 Riding Trenchers, the John Deere 210 Skip Loaders, and the New Holland U80 Multi-Purpose Tractor Loaders. The class was attended by several of Environmental Concepts' employees. The training instructors were John Benson, Rebel's Service Manager, and Mike White, Rebel's Lead Service Technician, both from our Temecula location.
As true partners, our customers not only expect quality equipment from Rebel, they also expect support by means of training. All attendees earned a Certificate of Completion at the end of the training session, and walked away with new and very valuable knowledge. This type of training will help them not only to operate the equipment in a safely, but also efficiently. This is a win-win situation for Rebel and Environmental Concepts.
Rebel welcomes the opportunity to support our customers by providing training on the equipment they rent from us, to make their jobs safer and easier.

Safe Driving is No Accident at Rebel
Since becoming a member of the American Rental Association (ARA), Rebel Rents has been an active participant with the association. The most recent contribution was Rebel Rents participation in the ARA’s December 2006 Risk Management newsletter, sharing the success of the company’s ongoing safe-driving program. The article included an in-depth interview with Doug Fleury, Rebel’s Risk Management Manager. This issue of the newsletter focused on various information and tips regarding safe driving, and how it affects a company’s business, with articles from other sources as well. This program is only one of the few measures taken by Rebel to take its professional image and customer service to the next level. An added benefit has been a reduction in the company’s insurance premiums due to this program and ones like it.
