Feeling Appreciated

On Friday, October 20th, Rebel Rents had a Customer Appreciation Day event at the North Temecula location. It was an opportunity to showcase Rebel's newly expanded facility by having a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, attended by the Temecula Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, who helped us celebrate the occassion. Hungry Hunter did such a great job in serving such wonderful foods to over 350 guests. There was an excellent turnout of customers, who enjoyed the excellent food and the free giveaways from Rebel and Rebel vendors. The customers also had the opportunity to speak directly to vendors like HILTI, MULTIQUIP, NEW HOLLAND, BOSCH POWER TOOLS, DITCH WITCH, TT TECHNOLOGIES, VERMEER, PARTNER/TARGET, DIRECT EDGE, KOMATSU AND BEAL ENTERPRISES, among others, who participated in the event by having diplay booths displaying their equipments. Most of the vendors also donated some items for giveaways and/or raffle prizes. Some of the great items donated included an iPod, toolboxes, a barbecue tool set, clothing, a dining certificate, a Best Buy gift card, etc. The grand prizes for the raffles were a 27" flat screen TV, a home stereo, and a DVD player, all were from Rebel to show our appreciation to the customers who took the time to come out and celebrate with us. We also awarded to one of our contractors a $1,000 gift certificate towards an equipment rental.

The Rebel Team showed its spirit, proudly wearing their Rebel shirts and being good ambassadors. Everyone took time away from their daily routine and busy workload to help make the event a success. Worth extra mention would be Rudy and Paul of our North Temecula branch who went above and beyond their call of duty to spread the word to our customers about the event, and Rebel thanks them for the great turnout we enjoyed. In appreciation of their hard work, Rebel will be taking Rudy and Paul's family out to dinner on us.

KUDOS to everyone!

Let There Be Light

Rebel Rents just added to its extensive inventory of equipments another large quantity of quality light towers from Multiquip. The LT Night Hawk light towers provide dependable lighting for a wide range of applications. Whether you require lighting for a construction site, industrial location or special event, the Night Hawk is the perfect choice for illumanating any outdoor location. It is powered by a Deutz 1800-RPM, liquid cooled, diesel engine; has four 1,000 watt lamps that provide maximum illumination and are controlled by individual circuit breakers for versatility. It has a lighted panel which automatically comes on when the engine access door is opened, great for night deployment. They also have convenience receptacles that are externally mounted for accessability without opening the side panels, ideal for supplying power for hand tools and small equipment while reducing the running noise of the light tower. Its 30 gallon fuel tank provides up to 64 hours of run time while running at 3/4 load, a definite improvement compared to the modular towers' 48 hours run time. It has an outstanding wind stability of up to 65 MPH with the outriggers and jackstands fully deployed.

Let's Play

Rebel's Territory Managers keep on rock and rolling, working hard to earn those Reward Zone points. Our latest prize was redeemed by Tony Cunningham of Santa Ana. He got an XBOX 360. Tony, who turns out to be an avid gamer when he's not out on the field pushing Rebel products, has been getting some major whoopin' when playing online on his older unit. His two grown-up sons, one living out-of-state and the other living in a different city, would always call and invite him to play online with them. They thouroughly enjoy pouncing on their dad online and poking fun at him for still playing on the outdated model XBOX. Tony plans to surprise them next time he gets online with them. He would probably still get pounced on, as he says he's not as good as his sons on the games, but he'll be getting it playing on his new XBOX 360!

Congratulations, Tony!

A Fishy Outing

Rebel hits the ocean to show their appreciation to our customers for their continued support. On October 14th, Rebel Rents took some of our valued customers out to sea for a day of fun in the sun. On board the Sea Star, a 60 foot by 20 foot fishing boat, the group is treated to food and beverages and other fishing activities. Jim Hamilton, Jim Ruffing, and Greg Eubanks accompanied the group out.

The Sea Star is a private charter boat, which fishes from the Oceanside Harbor. The captain, Captain Joe Cacciola, maintains the boat to a high standard, with special attention given to the safety and comfort of everyone on board. Our Customers deserves nothing less!

Everyone had a great time from all accounts, and caught lots of fish! Some even caught their limit. The caught fish were filleted and packaged by the deckhands, prepared for eating or freezing. We're sure everyone shared their fishing experience while enjoying a great fish feast on Rebel.

We thank our customers for their business. We thank Captain Joe Cacciola and his crew for helping us show them how much. And Rebel thanks the REBEL TEAM for their hardwork!

Zoning in on Rewards

The Rebel Rents Sales Team are hard at work! They've been doing an excellent job and earning points towards their Rewards Zone accounts. The program, which was implemented only this year, already rewarded one prize in September. And as the year progresses, more prizes are being redeemed. Peggy Megrdichian, from Santa Ana, has chosen to redeem her points for an iPod. She says she is giving it to her husband for a present. We also have Greg Eubanks, from El Cajon, whose points went toward a desktop computer he's giving to his daughter. He's as happy about it as his daughter because he can now claim his computer back. It's wonderful to see these prizes are being enjoyed by the family members as well.

Way to go, Sales Team! Keep up the good work and keep earning those points!

Football Doesn't Get Any Better Than This

On August 27th, Rebel Rents held their Second Annual Company Picnic at Knott's Berry Farm. At the event, prizes donated by various vendors were raffled off with the Grand Prize being a 2-night Football package trip for two from Ditch Witch. The lucky winner of the raffle was JJ DelaTorre of Santa Ana.

JJ and his wife went on their trip on October 14. They stayed at the Fisherman's Wharf Marriott, which is near Pier 39. They also enjoyed a dinner for two at the hotel. For the game, they were chauffeured to and from their hotel by a private service sedan. JJ said he enjoyed the first quarter of the game, just before the 49ers were overrun by the opposing team finally losing by 19 points.

All in all, JJ and his wife got some pampering and entertainment during their trip. THANKS TO DITCH WITH FOR THE VERY GENEROUS DONATION!

Rent Where?

RENT WHERE THE PROFESSIONALS DO!

Introducing Rebel Rents' newest tag line.

For the purpose of appealing to the general masses, our Marketing Department came up with the slogan. It is in addition to, not replacing, our CALL REBEL TO RENT THE BEST. The new slogan is geared towards homeowners and DO-IT-YOURSELFers. The current trend shows us regular homeowners doing their own home improvements and upgrades. They have successful networks and reality shows igniting their interests. We want them to feel confident that when they rent from Rebel, no matter how small or big the job, they are getting the same quality equipments and products that our professional customers are using in their major projects.

Curb Appeal: South Temecula Branch

Our Rebel Rents in South Temecula has just undergone a makeover to be more consistent with the Rebel image. Some of the many upgrades include a new signage; our signature red canopy over the store's entrance, new building siding, fencing at the store frontage along with landscaping, and interior improvements. These changes mirror our goal as a company: to continuously improve to better compete in our industry. You will agree that the new clean look will be more inviting for our customers.

We also like to take this time to thank the South Temecula team members for their invaluable assistance in getting this accomplished. We couldn't have done it without them.

GETTING THE WORD OUT!

In anticipation of our upcoming Customer Appreciation Day in Temecula on October 20th, we had our sales staff out in full force! They visited almost 300 jobsites, inviting contractors to join us in celebrating our customers. We'd like to recognize our Territory Managers for being true team players in helping us with this important event. We will be rewarding them with Rebel Reward Zone points. For simply participating in the Sales Blitz, we want to reward them with 25 points each. For Joe Negrette, Bill Walsh, Gordon Belanger, and Tony Cunningham, they will receive 25 additional points for their special efforts.

Our Customer Appreciation Day promises to be a great day, with fabulous food and prizes. We will be raffling off a 27" television, Bosch Roto-Hammer, and a DVD player. The contractors we visited during the Sales Blitz received a special raffle ticket that could earn them $1,000 in rental credit towards any single monthly rental.

We know that with all the hard work and dedication we put into this event, it is sure to be a rousing success! So, please join us at our North Temecula branch on Friday, October 20th, from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.

It is also worth mentioning that we are having the Temecula Chamber of Commerce joining us on this day to help us do our RIBBON CUTTING for our newly expanded facility.

Come out to help us celebrate the event!

THE RESULTS ARE IN!!!

Who's going to see the Lakers or the Chargers next game? Which branch is going to get their next free lunch on Rebel? We'd all like to know! We're excited to announce the winners of these contests. The contests were launched in late July and ran through end of September. We had two (2): one for the branch level and the other for the Territory Managers. It was a campaign to get our Pilot equipments rented out. It was a successful campaign, thanks to all of you. But now it's time to reveal the winners, and they are: SANTA ANA branch for having the most Pilot Program Rental Revenue, and Jim Rufing, our Territory Manager from our Temecula locations, for having the most customers who rented the Pilot Program equipments.

The entire Santa Ana branch will receive their choice of any available Rebel apparel, and a free lunch courtesy of Rebel Rents. Jim Rufing will get his choice of either Laker or Charger Family 4-pack game tickets and 100 Rebel Reward Zone Points. Both will receive a special plaque commemorating their accomplishments. CONGRATULATIONS!

THANK YOU, REBEL RENTAL TEAM, for your continued hard work.

Just Sawing Away

We have exciting news! We have added to our extensive rental fleet the new Stihl MS290 Farm Boss Chainsaw. This is, by far, Stihl's most popular model, designed for rugged use. This powerful unit comes equipped with a side-access chain tensioner, IntelliCarb compensating carburetor, built-in winder-summer shutter for cold weatheroperation and toolless filter caps. It also has an anti-vibration system designed to reduce fatigue, and forged connecting rod with caged needle bearing like the pro saws.

This addition to our already existing line of chainsaws will provide more variety to our customers. After all, our goal is to meet their equipment needs in the best possible way.

Bilingual Customer Advisory Flyer

We are releasing a Rebel Rents Customer Advisory flyer discussing proper ways to handle and care for our Two Cycle Chainsaws and Cutoff Saws. It is a very informative guide that our customers can use to avoid damaging parts of the equipment that, in turn, could cost them in repairs and down-time. This is another way we, at Rebel, want to provide our customers with the best possible service available. The flyer is two-sided, written both in English and Spanish.

The Spanish version was kindly translated for us by Jose Chavez out of our Escondido location(with the help of his wife, Tevy). To show our appreciation for their contribution to the Rebel Team, we are sending their family out to dinner, on us.

Muchos Gracias, Jose and Tevy, and Rebel Rents customers thank you also.

Road Feedback

Okay. So, when you see that sign behind the truck that says, "How am I driving?," and somebody actually takes the time to tell us, what kind of feedback do we usually expect? I think, more often than not, we expect a "not-so-very-good" comment. Well, guess what? We received a phone call giving compliments about one of ours! (not our first compliment, either.) Isn't that wonderful?!

The caller and witness said: The driver of unit 241 was almost sideswiped by another vehicle on the freeway. The driver maintained control of the vehicle and handled the situation in a very safe and professional manner. The caller was very impressed, wanted to make sure Rebel Rents knows and took the time to call.

That driver was Mike Holmes, the Service Manager from our Mira Loma location. Way to go, Mike! Rebel Rents recognizes you with a Gold Star for your quick thinking and your professionalism on the road. Keep up the good work!
