Our El Cajon branch has just received their new delivery vehicle. This vehicle was custom built specifically for Rebel Rents. It is a 2006 Freightliner Columbia and has a 25' bed with fold down dovetail ramps for easy loading and unloading. ARA Job Classification Workshop
Jill Widtfeldt, our Human Resources Manager, is currently participating on the American Rental Association Committee to assist the rental industry in developing job classification levels for our service technicians. We are honored to be part of this work group with only six other rental companies nationwide. We are happy to help the rental industry in establishing standard job descriptions, which will not only be helpful to Rebel, but the industry as a whole. Jill is a true team player and we appreciate her taking time out of her busy schedule to help in this important process.Rebel Rents Review Mystery Reader Contest

Communication Class
Yesterday, Rebel Rents held a seminar at our corporate office titled, "How to Become a Better Communicator." The presentation was put on by Tom Cafone of Skillpath Seminars. Some of the key focus areas were how to listen and communicate effectively with others in various situations, building trust and credibility, and understanding different types of personalities. Over 30 Rebel Team Members attended from the office support staff members to our branch personnel. The class was well received by those team members who participated. Thank you to Jill for bringing this educational seminar to us and coordinating everything that goes along with it. We hope to be able to offer more training classes such as this in the near future. At the same time we had an opportunity to celebrate some of our accomplishments from last year with the attendees. Seven special recognition of extraordinary accomplishments plaques' were handed out.Wednesday, January 11, 2006
Accident Don't Just Happen Here
In 2005, Rebel Rents had three locations that were able to complete a huge accomplishment. Our Santee, Mira Loma and San Jacinto locations all made it through 2005 without a single vehicle accident. These is an outstanding feat considering that as a company we drive over three million miles annually. Staying accident free does not just happen. It comes as a result of constant employee safety education and training. Congratulations to all the Rebel Rental Teams that were vehicle-accident free in 2005. We wish all our stores and employees a safe and accident free 2006!Tuesday, January 10, 2006
Safety is No Accident
Accidents happen every day. But for 365 days our El Cajon and Encinitas branches had no employee injury accidents. This is the second year in a row that our Encinitas branch has avoided any employee injuries. At Rebel Rents, we counter the increased risk associated with the rental industry with increased safety measures and employee education. We are proud to say that our workers' compensation mod experience rate is at the lowest it has been since 1999. This does not take into account the great safety year we just completed in 2005, which means it is sure to be even lower in 2007. Congratulations again to our El Cajon and Encinitas branches. We hope to have many more branches reach this same accomplishment in 2006.Monday, January 09, 2006
