Taking it on the Road
In Rebel's ongoing effort to keep our employees safe, Jill Widtfeldt and Doug Fleury will be putting on a Fleet & Equipment Safety Training Seminar for all our employees. They will be visiting each location in the upcoming weeks. The training covers fleet safety, forklift, backhoe and skidsteer training, trailer and transport safety, along with an anatomy of the various factors that go into an accident. The material was provided by The American Rental Association and our insurance carrier, St. Pauls. This type of training is essential to keep our employees accident-free and, at the same time, providing a safe work environment.Wednesday, November 16, 2005

Back By Popular Demand 2006 Calendars are In
The new Rebel Rents 2006 calendars have arrived. These calendars were a great success last year and hopefully will be the same this year. We have 2 different calendars to offer our customers. One is a laminated 22 x 28 inches wall calendar which has boxes for each day where customers can use dry erase pens to write in important dates and events. The second calendar is 8.5 x 11 inches and is made out of heavy stock paper. This convenient size can be put in notebooks and in areas where large space is at a premium. The reverse side has a listing of the rental equipment Rebel Rents offers. If you do not receive your calendars soon please contact the office. Our Territory Sales Reps will be handing these out to all our customers in the next couple weeks.Friday, November 11, 2005
National Equipment Register Success Story!
Rebel would like to share the following story.Rebel was contacted by Detective Nester of the California Highway Patrol, who was following up on a lead of suspected stolen equipment. When he ran the serial numbers through the National Equipment Registers (NER) of stolen equipment he found a John Deere 310SG belonging to Rebel Rents. The equipment was reported stolen many months ago off one of our customers jobsites. At that time, a police report was taken and the theft was registered with the NER. Detective Nester was able to get our phone number from the NER and call us directly to let us know our equipment had been recovered. Without the equipment being registered, we may have not been notified immediately, allowing us to get the equipment back without costly impound fees. Or, we may not have gotten it back at all.
We wanted to say thank you to the NER for their assistance. We certainly recommend their service and believe it to be valuable tool.
