Protecting Our Fleet
In an effort to inform and educate our customers on the growing problem of equipment theft, Rebel has released an informative flyer with jobsite equipment security tips. We believe our customers will find it a useful tool. This flyer will be going out to our customers in their monthly statements. We will also be giving out a supply to our Territory Managers to hand out when they visit jobsites. Equipment theft is everybody's problem. At Rebel, we are doing our part to find a solution.Friday, October 21, 2005
Manitou Sales Training
Chris Chapman of Toyota Lift held a training session for Rebel Sales Staff on our new Manitou MT523 Reach Forklifts. He went over basic operations of these units, as well as the features and benefits that set the Manitou MT523 apart from its competition. This training will be valuable to our sales staff as they take the knowledge they have gained and pass it on to our customers.Thursday, October 20, 2005
Employee Safety is No Accident!
In the rental industry we work every day with large construction, which by its nature can be dangerous if we are not safety-minded. However, at Rebel we have taken a proactive approach and made safety a priority, greatly diminishing the number of accidents and claims we have had. To prove this point, we just received an update of our Workman's Compensation Losses for the year. We are proud to say that we far exceeded even our own expectations. We want to congratulate all our employees on this accomplishment. Employee safety is no accident. We worked hard to make this happen, and we will continue to make the safety of all our employees a priority.Wednesday, October 19, 2005
Fill 'er Up!
November is right around the corner and we are pleased to be able to announce Rebel's November Fuel Contest. There will be two separate winners in order to make it fair for all stores and to give everyone a chance to win. We are looking for the store with the largest dollar increase in revenue over the month of October, as well as the store with the largest percentage increase. With fuel prices getting higher every day, it is important that we charge for the fuel that customers use. Thank you and good luck to all stores!Thursday, October 13, 2005
Drivers get Defensive
Penske Truck Leasing recently put on a Driver Safety Meeting focused on defensive driving. The seminar was presented by Rick Scott, their Regional Safety Specialist, in San Diego. Four of our drivers, Patrick Maguire, Chuck Beers, Al Carpenter, and Kirk Roe, were lucky enough to be able to attend morning meeting. Rebel recognizes the responsibility we have to put safe and conscientious drivers out on the road. We believe educational classes such as this aid us in our efforts and we will continue to offer them to our staff.Tuesday, October 11, 2005

This seminar was held at our corporate training facility and was attended by all team members who have interaction with our customers. We feet this type of training goes a long way in making Rebel Rents the outstanding company we are, and continual education is necessary to keep us at the top.Thursday, October 06, 2005
Rebel Helps Shamu Get a New Home
We all know Shamu, the star Killer Whale at Sea World in San Diego. Now Rebel and our equipment is helping build Shamu a new and improved pool! Cement Cutting has rented numerous pieces of equipment from Rebel Encinitas in the past 3 months, including rollers, excavators, backhoes and the Bobcat S150 you see pictured below. All the equipment had to be dropped into the tank using a crane under the supervision of Mike "Thorny" Thorne. Sea World expects the new Shamu pool to be open in November.Wednesday, October 05, 2005

Congratulations! Each store will receive a personalized plaques to display for everyone to see. We would also like to recognize two honorable mentions. Both San Jacinto and Santa Ana made a huge increase in their percentage of transportation revenue in September vs. September of 2004. They will receive Certificates of Excellence. Thank you to all the stores for their participation!Due to the busy September that we had, not all our salespeople were able to contact their entire dormant customer list. With the ovewhelming response we have had so far, we have decided to extend this contest until Tuesday Nov. 1. Please continue to work on your list and send in your responses. Good luck to everybody!
