Equipment Theft Warning
We recently met with our Loss Prevention Representative from our insurance carrier, St. Paul's. He mentioned that they have seen an increase in theft of construction equipment from job sites. In light of this, we need to double our efforts to protect our rental fleet. Please be sure that all your bases are covered and that all paperwork is completed. We also need to share this information with our customers and advise them to be extra diligent in securing our equipment on thier job site.Wednesday, July 20, 2005

Rebel Rents participates in ARA survey
Recently, the American Rental Association (ARA) contacted Rebel Rents. We were chosen because of our size and the respect that our name has in the business community. They contacted us in regards to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) intent to regulate emissions from non-road diesel engines. Many of these engines are used on equipment that is common to the rental industry. ARA is analyzing CARB regulatory proposals and keeping members of the ARA of California informed of all developments that have and will occur in this regulatory process. This Draft Work Plan has been developed by the ARA in an effort to position the California rental industry to proactively engage CARB in this regulatory process. The work plan will discuss, among other things, proposed regulatory actions, possible form of these actions and the cost burden and other impact these regulations will have on the rental industry. Here at Rebel Rents we are proud to participate in this reseach. We will keep everyone informed as new information becomes available.

Rebel Rents takes part in Gothic Landscaping BBQ
Harry Coffman and Tom Gilroy spent Friday 7/8/05 at the Gothic Landscaping BBQ in Riverside. Rebel Rents provided a carne asada lunch from Cardenas in San Jacinto. There were approximately 180 Gothic employees on hand, including people from our two newest accounts, Gothic Grounds Maintenance and Gothic Grading, divisions of Gothic Landscaping. Rebel safety kits and t-shirts were also distributed to employees through Gothic's Safety Manager. Gothic Landscaping was presented with a plaque thanking them for their partnership with Rebel Rents. The Gothic employees loved the food so much that they had the same caterer for their LA BBQ held the following Friday.
Tom Gilroy of Rebel Rents and Jim Heinz of Gothic Landscaping congratulate each other on a successful BBQ.
