San Jacinto Grand Opening BBQ
On Wednesday, May 25, we had the official Grand Opening of our San Jacinto location!! The event was a tremendous success with over 300 vendors, customers, city officials, local business leaders and Rebel staff in attendance. They mayor of San Jacinto, Chris Carlson-Buydos, was our guest of honor during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. She gave a short speech, welcoming Rebel to the growing San Jacinto community, and wishing us success in our new location. She was followed by our CEO, Rick Clauss, and then the ceremonial ribbon-cutting.
Once the ceremonies concluded it was time to eat! The line stretched all the way from the tent to inside of the warehouse. The event was catered by Mr. Fennie's Mobile BBQ and the food was enjoyed by all.
Special thank you's go out to the following Rebel employees who helped make this event not only possible, but a success: Harry Coffman, Charles Dawes, Anthony Romero and everyone else at Store 19, Sue Hope, Cheryl Lindsley, Judy Houston, Denise Vaughn and the rest of the Corporate staff, Tom Gilroy, Jim Rufing, Denis Bonneau, Dan James, Tony Cunningham, Rick Knepper, Peggy Megrdichian and the rest of the Rebel sales staff. Red Dye Diesel
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) made an unexpected stop at our El Cajon location last Thursday. What were they checking for? To be sure that we were in compliance with our use of red dye diesel fuel. We are very pleased to announce that we passed with flying colors! Additionally, the Fuel Compliance Officer was impressed with Rebel Rents' policies in place to ensure the proper use of red dye fuel. Congratulations to Mike Brown and everyone else at El Cajon for a job well done!
